A first-ever online database on child soldiers, launched today (21 February 2018), maps the shocking scale of child exploitation by armed forces and non-state armed groups around the world.

KOLLA TEMBEIN, Ethiopia – Not long ago, the sight of a 10-year-old bride was a common occurrence in Ethiopia’s Kolla Tembein District, said Daniel Hagos, the district’s chief administrator. But the community’s women and girls are mobilizing to change things – and they are seeing enormous success.

LONDON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Researchers are closer to understanding the “invisible” lives of millions of girls - why they flunk school or marry young - with the launch on Wednesday of a digital database tracking girls’ rights around the globe.

STOCKHOLM, 15 February 2018 – Leaders and representatives from the United Nations, government, civil society and the private sector renewed their commitment to ending violence against children by 2030 at the first-ever End Violence Solutions Summit which concluded in Stockholm today.
