Education institutions in Pakistan, the Dominican Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo are the first laureates of the new UNESCO-Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers. The winners were announced at a ceremony at UNESCO Headquarters on 24 March.

UGANDA: Minister Wants More Funds for Education

Kampala — In order to achieve sustainable development during the rehabilitation of northern Uganda there is need to invest more in education.
