L’appel de Jérôme Jarre, star française des réseaux sociaux résidant aux Etats-Unis, a fait le tour de la planète. Lancée le 15 mars grâce à une vidéo sur Twitter, sa campagne de levée de fonds intitulée « Love Army for Somalia » a permis de récolter 2,5 millions de dollars (2,3 millions d’euros) auprès de donateurs célèbres et anonymes. Jeudi 30 mars, c’est grâce à cette mobilisation que 60 tonnes de produits nutritionnels s’envoleront de Normandie, siège du groupe Nutriset, pour la Somalie, afin de venir en aide aux personnes victimes de la pénurie alimentaire.

This new free online course was developed by an inter-agency group in partnership with CELCIS and the University of Strathclyde and is aimed to provide a good grounding in the Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children endorsed by the UN General Assembly in 2009 and how to put them into practice. The African Union Commission is planning a training of Southern African journalists on reporting Child Marriage and other social issues on children. The training will be held in Botswana end March/April 2017. They are looking for print, electronic, and social media journalists from public, private and religious media that can go back and influence content on children.

CAR: Armed Groups Using Schools

NAIROBI, 23 March 2017 – Armed groups in the Central African Republic have occupied, looted, and damaged school buildings, preventing children from getting an education, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today.
